Gone Fishing

Ausstellung von atelier lesa im ARThaus 4 ->

Traungasse 12, A - 4810 Gmunden

The exhibition titled Gone fishing presented a collection of works that the artists of atelier lesa had created inspired by the sea. Longing for the sea is considered part of the Mainstream, but it also inspires couriousness about the hidden world below the sea surface.

In their works, artists Juliane Leitner and Alina Sauter were inspired by both kitsch and popular science. They incorporated a variety of forms of the marine ecosystem and shaped them into plastic or media works of art.

Gonefishing signifies a person who is not participating in the goings-on of their surroundings. They have taken time off, succumbed to day dreaming and are ignoring the people and objects about them. On the other hand it may signify that one grasps the opportunity to break through the daily grind and change ones habits.
