Die Bezeichnung 'Panorama' stammt aus dem Griechischen. Es setzt sich aus den Wörtern 'pan' = 'all' und 'horama' = 'Sicht' zusammen und bedeutet 'Allsicht'. Das Panoramabild wird von einem Fixpunkt im großen Betrachtungswinkel aufgenommen. Es wird hauptsächlich zur Darstellung von Räumen, Landschaften oder Ereignissen genutzt. Die meist verwendeten Panorama Varianten sind: Die 360° Grad Rundumsicht (zylindrisches Vollrundpanorama; Rundbild) oder das Kreisringpanorama (Draufsicht eines Geländes).
Die 7000m² große Brache lag frei zwischen den Häuserfronten der Weingartshofstraße, des Arbeiterkammergebäudes, des Amtes der Landesregierung OÖ und des Wissensturmes. Das Gelände war trotz Umzäunung öffentlich begehbar und bot genügend Platz für Mensch und Natur. Ein scheinbar kahler, uninteressanter, vermüllter Platz, der ruhig zwischen den Häuserfronten lag und auf seine Neubebauung wartete. Doch der Schein trügte! Betrachtet man die Panorama Aufnahmen des Geländes von April 2011 bis Juni 2011 genauer, ist eine stetige Veränderung zu erkennen.
Die Installation in der Toilettenkabine erinnerte einerseits an das Leben auf Rohbaustellen, andererseits war es eine Verknüpfung zum 'Stillen Örtchen'. Anstelle der Tageszeitung gab es Bilder zu lesen.

The termpanorama is of Greek origin. It comprises of the word’s "pan" meaning all and "horama" meaning vision. The panorama is recorded from a fixed vantage point and with a wide angle of vision. It is mainly used to display spaces, landscapes or events. Most commonly used variants of panoramas are: the 360 degrees panorama view (cyclorama) and the top view panorama.
The 7000 square meters of derelict land lay between the façades of Weingartshofstrasse, the building of chamber of labour, the office of the federal government of upper Austria and the Wissensturm. The area was access able to the public despite it being fenced in and provides ample space for both- man and nature.
A seemingly bare, uninspiring, dirty place silently waiting to become useful again. But appearances were deceiving. When looking closer on the panorama pictures taken between April and June 2011 one can clearly recognize the constant changes.
The installation inside a Port-a-Loo puts one in the mind of construction sites and rest rooms - in the sense of a place where one can spend some time in peace, contemplating. Instead of newspapers, the panorama pictures helped passing the time.
